4. Provision of Data
The information marked as required during purchase or registration is essential for providing the requested service. Failure to provide this information may prevent the creation of an account, the completion of an order, or delivery.
5. Recipients
Data may be disclosed, to the extent necessary, to vendors that support the operation of the website and online store, including hosting and email services (currently Hostinger), WordPress and WooCommerce with their respective plugins, the newsletter provider (currently Mailchimp, when the user subscribes), couriers and logistics providers, tax or legal advisors, any payment providers actually available at the time of purchase, and public authorities when required by law. These parties process the data as data processors or independent data controllers, depending on their role and the service provided. The updated list of the main data processors can be requested from info@valtierri.com.
6. International Transfers
Some service providers, particularly those used for technical services or newsletters, may process data outside the European Economic Area. In such cases, the transfer is based on an adequacy decision—including any valid certifications under the applicable EU-U.S. framework—or through standard contractual clauses and, when necessary, additional safeguards. For information on the applicable safeguards or to obtain a copy, please contact info@valtierri.com.
7. Retention
- orders, invoices, and accounting data: Generally, 10 years from the date of recording the transaction, unless longer periods are required due to legal obligations or disputes;
- Customer account: for the duration of the account and, after closure or inactivity, limited to the data still necessary for orders, legal obligations, or the protection of rights;
- Support and contact requests: generally up to 24 months from the closure of the request, unless it is related to an order, a complaint, or a dispute;
- newsletter: until consent is withdrawn or the subscription is canceled; proof of withdrawal and the information strictly necessary to prevent further communications may be retained for as long as necessary to demonstrate compliance with the request;
- Technical and security logs: generally no later than 12 months, unless it is necessary to investigate incidents, fraud, or abuse;
- Cookie preferences and consent records: for the periods specified in the Cookie Policy and for as long as necessary to demonstrate the choices you have made.
At the end of the applicable retention periods, the data is deleted or anonymized, unless a legal obligation or the protection of a right requires its further retention.
8. Rights of the Data Subject
In the cases provided for by law, the data subject may request access to, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability of their data, or object to the processing; they may also withdraw their consent without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out prior to such withdrawal. Requests may be sent to info@valtierri.com.
The data subject also has the right to file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, which in Italy is the Italian Data Protection Authority.
9. Automated Decision-Making Processes
The website does not use fully automated decision-making processes, including profiling, that produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect the data subject. Should such processing be introduced, this privacy policy will be updated prior to its use, and the information required by law will be provided.
10. Cookies
This website uses cookies that are necessary for its operation and, subject to your consent when required, analytics or marketing cookies. You can change your preferences at any time using the cookie management tool available on the website. More detailed information is available in the Cookie Policy.
